The miniature is from a psalter from Ramsey Abbey, dating to around 1300-1310. Christ, with a pearl cross-shaped nimbus, dressed in a cloak, holding a staff in his left hand and his right hand raised in a gesture, emerges from a sarcophagus. Two angels with pearl nimbi kneel on the sarcophagus. In front of the sarcophagus are three soldiers, asleep, clad in armor and armed with an ornate shield, halberd, pitchfork, and spear.
