In my studio

The work on an icon consists of many stages: preparing the board, gluing the canvas, applying
and sanding the primer, transferring the sketch, applying gold, and finally applying multiple layers of paint and varnish. Finally, the icon is described, i.e., given a seal of conformity.
with the Tradition of the Church. In the studio, all these activities are often accompanied by exceptional lighting, calming music, and a burning candle.

A miniature is not subject to the same strict canon as an icon; it features more ornamentation, rich borders, and imaginative compositions, in which the artist's inventiveness plays a significant role. What unites old miniatures and their copies, executed in various styles, is extraordinary precision and attention to the smallest detail.
